i had the pleasure of being the featured music performer at Artworks RVA's opening reception for their summer exhibit. this exhibit highlighted a blend of traditional and non-traditional artmaking from a large collection of talented artists listed here.

i performed a two-hour semi-improvised live set that I (half-jokingly) described as "high quality background music"  - music that does not draw attention to itself, yet provides an experience that would be dearly missed if it were gone.
