STATEMENT ON "A.I."
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - JUNE 4, 2025

My creative process is hand-crafted and never based in artifical intelligence (A.I.).

I also firmly believe that there is no artistic integrity without accountability.

For full transparency: i have willingly experimented with A.I. twice in the past, once for an art installation in November 2022 where I used it to manipulate celebrity voices and another time as part of a collaborative experimental album in 2023 where i used it to generate odd synths and samples. As the AI discussion has greatly evolved in the years since then, and we continue to learn what countless repercussions using modern artificial intelligence actually has, I have felt an increasing responsibility to distance myself from ever using it again in my own creative process. While I am not disgusted by the resulting collaborations and opportunites to experiment, I did eventually find myself disgusted with the process itself, and the only way I can see myself moving forwards is to reject using A.I. entirely.

There are no shortage of articles and information available today about the ethics of using AI in an increasingly capitalistic society, not even to mention the actual environmental impact. So I highly recommend you to research these concerns yourself if you are ever considering incorporating artificial intelligence in your own projects and collaborations. However, in my opinion nothing will ever compare to the experience of directly communicating with artists, investing in them, and by means further enriching your community.

This is my promise to you that all creative decisions relating to my work are to be mine and mine alone – never sourced by an algorithm. To summarize: when you work with me you will always be working with a human being loaded with thoughts, flaws, and vulnerability.

I highly encourage you to do the same with others.
